Who is Aaron? And how far does the world go?

Humanity beat death, and then forgot how to feel. Ellaris was built to give it back: a world where risk is real and a wound still means something. You do not log in. You cross over, your mind poured into a new body, into a world more vivid than the one you left.

A king rules the first city and calls the whole world his own. They say he cannot leave it. They say he was here before any of us. No one agrees on who Aaron really is.

Something older and colder watches from above, and it has sealed the higher worlds. No one who reached the top has ever come back. How far does this world go? Nobody knows. Climb, and find out.

No. It runs in any modern web browser. Nothing to install — just sign in with a free account and play.

What kind of game is it?

A classic, old-school MMORPG with tab-target combat, classes, professions, loot and levels, for fans of Sword Art Online and hardcore MMORPGs. The twist: a multiverse of worlds, each one different, anything our world editor can build.

Does it have AI NPCs or an AI companion?

That is the vision. Ellaris comes from the makers of VoxelMind, the AI that already runs living NPCs in Minecraft today. Those AI companions and inhabitants are on the way to Ellaris, so the world feels alive even when you play solo.

Can I build my own world?

Yes. Our world editor lets creators build whole worlds of their own, voxel or lifelike, and in-game the Building profession unlocks a builder view to shape the world around you.

Is it out yet?

Ellaris is in active development and playable in early access now, with new content every week. Join the Discord to play and help shape it.
