The match is decided by surviving strongholds. There is no fixed match timer deciding the winner.

The Closed Alpha includes local 1v1 training for selection, abilities and army orders. Online testers sign in for the four-team queue. An Alpha access code is required to download the Windows launcher.
Open seats can be filled by bots during the alpha. Matches with fewer human opponents have reduced rating weight; playing alone against bots cannot advance your rating.

A few things to know before you step in.
Is Legion Arena an RTS or a MOBA?
It is a competitive army arena that combines both: you directly control a champion with abilities while commanding your own growing legion. The focus is team battles and stronghold survival, with four teams of three.
Can I play Legion Arena in a browser?
Legion Arena is a Windows game in Closed Alpha. An Alpha access code is required to download it. For a browser game in the same universe, try Ellaris MMORPG.
Can I download or join Legion Arena now?
Legion Arena is in Closed Alpha. Enter a valid Alpha access code on the Join Alpha page to start the protected launcher download; an Ellaris account alone does not grant download access.
Will every match have twelve human players?
The four-team format has twelve seats. During the alpha, open seats can be filled by bots. A full set of human opponents is not guaranteed.
Can I choose any champion with any legion?
Your champion and your army path are separate choices. Pick one of four core champions, then choose melee, ranged or magic production at your main building. The army path is binding for that round.
How long is a match?
A match ends when only one team has surviving strongholds. There is no fixed duration or time-limit victory. The pace is still being tuned during the alpha.
