Your first steps into Ellaris.

From browser to character.

1. Open the closed-alpha entry.

   Open the closed-alpha login on a desktop browser with a keyboard and mouse. There is no launcher to install. Allow the initial game assets to load.

2. Enter your tester access code.

   The start screen shows Coming Soon while access is locked. Select it to open the code prompt and enter your tester access code. If this browser already accepted the code, it shows Enter Ellaris instead. An account alone does not unlock the closed alpha.

3. Continue through account sign-in.

   After the access-code check, use the existing account options to sign in or create an Ellaris account. If you are already signed in, continue with your account. On a first visit, choose the public name you want others to see.

4. Create your hero.

   Choose Ironward, Elementalist or Veilkeeper, then name your character. Your class gives you your starting role and spellbook. Compare the three classes if you are undecided.

5. Enter the world.

   Select your hero and choose Enter world to join the shared online world. Get used to moving and looking around before taking your first fight.

Get comfortable with the controls.

Build your action bar.

Your spellbook holds the abilities available to your character. Press P, then drag abilities onto the action bar. The number keys activate the slots you fill.

An empty slot is yours to arrange. Start with a few useful abilities rather than trying to fill everything. Read their resource costs and cooldowns, then try them against one manageable enemy.

The three classes use different resources: Ironward uses rage, while Elementalist and Veilkeeper use mana. Keep an eye on those bars as well as your health.

Find your first quest.

Explore the starting area and interact with its quest givers. Read the objective, then open your quest log with L when you need a reminder. The map and minimap help you orient yourself.

Pull carefully. Tab-target combat rewards choosing your opponent and managing your cooldowns. After a fight, collect the loot, check your bags and compare new gear with what you are wearing.

Return to the quest giver when the objective is complete. The opening quests are a way to learn the world’s rhythm as you gain levels and equipment.

Meet the world as you go.

The online world is shared. Use chat to talk to the people you meet, and try party play or trading when your paths cross. You can begin your own questing without first organizing a group.

Ellaris MMORPG and Legion Arena share account sign-in and the setting. The MMORPG also requires a tester access code during closed alpha. Your MMORPG character and progression belong to this game.

Make the alpha work for you.

If the game feels slow, open Settings and try a lower graphics quality. Check that your browser is current and hardware acceleration is available. Loading game assets needs an internet connection.

This is a closed alpha for admitted testers. Bugs, changing content and resets can happen. If something blocks your progress, use in-game feedback or contact us with what happened, your browser and the steps that led there.
